The Lodge was originally constructed as one of four identical schoolhouse in the 1850’s and became the Orleans Odd Fellows Hall a few decades later. Over the past 125 years, membership dwindled and the building began to fall into a state of disrepair. In 2007 interest in revitalizing the Fraternal Order was energized and a plan was implemented to restore the original structure and develop an overall master plan to bring the building back to life. Currently the Old Northwest Schoolhouse is the home of The International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #132 , The Universal Masonic Lodge and Sylvester Baxter Royal Arch Chapter.
